Walter R. Sundling Junior High won the Academic Excellence Award in 2011 while Winston Campus Junior High received the Illinois Spotlight School Award in 2011. Students have an array of clubs and sports to choose from including cross country, soccer, basketball, and volleyball.
Though part of District 211, Palatine High School, Home of the Pirates, is located within Palatine and offers students a place to learn as well as participate in a variety of activities that will help shape their lives forever. Palatine High School’s principal, Gary Steiger, was named the Illinois Principals Association 2015-2016 High School Principal of the Year. He has had a positive impact on everyone from students to staff and leaves a great impression on his students and the entire learning environment.
