The Palatine Public Library District serves over 90,000 people who live in Palatine and northern Hoffman Estates. In addition to boasting an array of books, movies, and music for all ages, the Palatine Library also offers technology services and fun events for anyone to enjoy and learn from.

They welcome everyone and want to make it a pleasurable experience from the moment you walk through their doors.

Public LibraryThere are so many events happening this summer at the Palatine Public Library to keep children, teenagers, and adults entertained while supporting meeting new people in the community. Below is a list of fun events within the library:

Palatine Moviespalatine-booksThe Palatine Public Library District is now showing movies on a big screen to library patrons. Movies are shown on Tuesdays at 6:30PM in Meeting Room 1. Movies like Back to the Future, To Kill A Mockingbird, and The Sting are viewed and snacks are provided though they recommend bringing your own beverage like water, juice, or soda. At each movie night, a copy of the movie will be given to a lucky viewer! It’s a great to time to enjoy with friends or family.

Palatine Summer Reading – The summer season is a terrific time to delve into several new books while enjoying the warmth and sunshine. The Palatine Public Library offers Summer Reading Groups for all age levels. Each age group has a different goal of how many books to read. When you sign up, there is a possibility to win one of 200 technology type of prizes! These prizes include a robot animal, a Bluetooth mini speaker, and a digital pedometer just to name a few.

Palatine Drop-In Crafting – Who doesn’t love to craft? The Palatine Public Library District makes it easy to be creative by offering crafting fun every Thursday from 10AM-8PM. The times make it convenient for anyone to attend and let their creativity run free!

Learning LinkedIn Basics –palatine library classesFor college students or adult professionals looking for a new job or for networking purposes, LinkedIn is an incredible resource for doing just that.

The Palatine Public Library District knows how important it is to be internet-savvy and connected, so they’re offering a LinkedIn Basics class on Monday, June 29 from 7PM-8:30PM. The class will be led by Bruce Bennett, a career coach and instructor at Harper College in Palatine.
